Jim Ritchie serves as the Executive Director of the South Carolina Alliance of Health Plans. An attorney by profession, he has more than twenty-five years of experience as strategic and corporate counsel for domestic and foreign clients.
Concurrent with his professional career, Mr. Ritchie served in the South Carolina Senate for eight years and as Majority Whip for the last four years of his tenure. His legislative service was marked by his leadership to increase South Carolina’s competitiveness in the global economy. Mr. Ritchie was recognized for his public service by several leading South Carolina organizations including being named the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce Public Servant of the Year and in The State’s Ten Most Effective Senators in South Carolina.
Casey Clyburn
Association and Event Services Director
Casey has over 10 years of experience planning events in the government and insurance industries including training, fundraising, and executive meetings. She is able to see the bigger picture and break down the little details needed in order to paint it. She is skilled at working with all levels to ensure a top-notch client experience and engaging event execution.
Casey is the Event Services Coordinator and is responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating client meetings and events.
Casey graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism Management. Prior to joining the SC Alliance of Health Plans, she worked as the Executive Assistant to the Director at the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
Addie Thompson
Marketing and Communications Manager
Addie has ten years of non-profit communications experience with specialized work in social media, graphic design, and website communications. Addie graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in fashion merchandising and began her career at a non-profit state association working in communications and fundraising.
Addie has lived her whole life in South Carolina and has served in a variety of volunteer positions with the South Carolina Public Relations Society of America, Shandon United Methodist Church, and the Junior League of Columbia.
Steve Boucher
Director of Managed Care Services
Steve Boucher is the SCAHP liaison to the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. He is responsible for advancing the interests and priorities of the SCAHP Medicaid Managed Care Organizations before the department and within the public health care system across South Carolina.
Steve has more than thirty years of operational and policy experience in the healthcare industry in both private and governmental entities. His previous role as the Director of Managed Care for the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services provides him with a unique perspective and makes him one of the most knowledgeable and experienced leaders on Medicaid managed care matters in South Carolina.
Steve’s proven knowledge of managed care principles, his thorough understanding of the operations of the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and his relationships with the managed care organizations in South Carolina will enable him to be an excellent and productive leader representing SCAHP.
